Walbro 225 fuel pumps.........what are they rated at?
Looking at fitting a new Walbro in my blob sti that will probably be around 450bhp, will a 225 do it or will I need a bigger one?
According to HRC their 255 lph pump will cater for 585bhp... seem a bit optimistic?
even so I guess it should cover 450bhp

I run a HRC 255 in my wagon doing 320bhp/350lbft and it has never missed a beat. seems quieter than the walbro too.

Hopefully going for around 400bhp + in my blob . Had a walbro 255 in mine but was told to get either one of these instead of the walbro.

Hi there
Usually 255LPH are OK up to 450-500bhp,this depends on the injectors and fuel pressure etc
We are always run only HRC fuel pumps and we are been always very happy with them,we are run 340LPH from HRC without the issue at 490bhp and at 555.5bhp,now we are running HRC fuel pump on EP3 which should make 400-450bhp
Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura
