Hi I recently went out and bought ...... What I'm told is a Subaru impreza 1994 , 2.0l petrol , turbocharged Japanese import . I was told the car is running a td05 turbo and has recently had a full bottom end rebuild . The car when I got It was awesome then about a week in it started to sound a bit ticky and a different exhaust sound , a lot more popping , although the car still boosted properly power is low and off boost feels like a fifty percent drop in power. Also the the engine is moving around more , you can feel it through the gearstick . Any ideas please ., I'm a newbie and this car was a childhood dream and is now my new hobbie help!

 

Hi welcome, if I was you and the only advice I would offer is to go get it looked over by a subaru specialist, it's ok going to a normal garage but you will find a lot of people won't touch a impreza or will diagnose it wrong.
