As above, that website linked should give you what you need. I used the Australian diagrams for my classic and they were pretty spot on. I'm thinking about sticking a newage dash in my classic too, would you mind sending me some info or photos of it?

Perfect thank you, I have downloaded the 2004 diagram which I am sure will be the same as the 2003. Can not find My98 classic though. Will keep searching.

Not at all bud, just finishing off the the newage bumper install to my classic then I will get straight onto the dash. Just about to purchase the Dash now. I am just a little worried about the heater controls, as in my classic they are manual, and trying to find someone that has done this before is a nightmare.

Did you not click the link for the 98 WRX? Like I said it's the Australian version but so far (for me) it's been the same for my 97 classic.

I'd appreciate the photos and stuff, I'm concerned about door cards and so on. I had also considered fitting a facelift dash in to mine too, if yours is good and complete I'd maybe take it off you!

Cheers bud.. not fitting the door cards as they do not fit at all, already tried that. My main worry/concern is the heater part. May ask how it works as not sure if it is electronically motorised. Some body mentioned the heater matrix needs to be changed as well. What ever that is.

And if I get this all working I won't be selling bud.

I just mean me buying your old facelift dash lol! The heater matrix is the part that makes the air warm inside the car. It's basically a small radiator that the fan blows through!

it's more likely to be the bit in front of the heater matrix with all the valves and channels to direct airflow round your feet/scree/face etc. the wiring is likely to be quite different so as handy to switch the whole thing out if you can.

definitly get some pictures up it sounds like a bit of craic!

I would also put in a new heater matrix while the dash is out.

Someone on here has a newage dash in a Type R shell. They were selling it. They claim that it was was all working 100% too. I don't see why you'd need to change the engine etc.

I don't know, it was a complete shell with the dash fitted. Have a search back through the for sale section.
