Question Newage Sti into a classic ????

Hi all I'm looking for some info .
It's actually 05 foz Sti running gear going into a classic .
What's the best way of making wiring work ? .
Should I fit the foz loom ?
Should I get a newage Sti loom ? Would the foz Ecu work ?
Should I splice into the classic loom .

Has anyone done a newage Sti full swap as in dash pedal box and all running gear .

All help us greatly appreciated .

Since we never got the classic scoobys we swapped allot of L's and RS's.
Just finishing up a V4 swap at the moment.

Unsure of your 05 STi Forrester.
Something else we don't have. We got the XT but it's not an STi. I would assume though the differences would still be the same. Which means you would need to take it's ECU and engine harness and merge it into the classics.
Unless you want to retain the 05 interior including dash etc, the the only thing to splice in then is your tail lighting and fuel pump. Which will probably need changing.

Everything else is bolt on.
The Foz is an Impreza with different shell after all.

I've the full loom , could I just use the classic dash and put newage clocks .
I presume I will have to wire windows and lights and wiper ?.
Any tips for doing this ?
Did you pull the gc8 loom completely out ?
Could I use both ? To save time on wiring ??

if i were you i would strip every single thing out of the classic shell, and move everything possible from the Foz over, and as you find a bit that doesnt fit try and use the classic bit and splice into it.

I have reshelled a JDM MY97 WRX into a UK MY99 TURBO shell and even those two are wildly different ,

I ended up moveing the the entire engine bay and dash and chassis loom from the 97 to the 99 shell and going from there, 97 dash , ecu speedo , everything there are not only version differences ie. v3-v5/6 but i also had UK/JDM differences to work around and Airbag/non airbag and digital speedo/ cable speedo, so was easier to do a complete swap than try to splice
