Will a forester turbo engine fit a subaru impreza sport n/a. My subaru is a 99 and forester is a 99.

Why? A complete waste of money, time and effort!

 

Yeah easier to just buy a WRX or STI

 

Yeah easy.

Just pop in the entire engine, exhaust system, entire wiring loom for the engine bay, interior, behind dash, all fuses and relays, the rear loom, the drivetrain, the clutch system, the brakes, drive shafts, alarm and imobilisor system, every pipe, hoses, wire, clip etc from the turbo car. Oh did I mention the fuel tank and senders? Then once you have spent many many hours doing all that keep your fingers crossed it works and be proud that you now have a worthless car that you can't resell and will cost more to insure then a turbo Impreza. Unless you don't tell the insurance in which case you may as well drive without any.

Sorry to sound negative but sooooooooooooo many people ask this every other week and the answer is always the same. Yes it can be done. No it's not a good idea. No its not worth it.

And yes I have converted a sport shell into a turbo car (track car reshell) and I striped the shell down to the last nut and bolt and then binned 90% of the sport parts. Still working on the car two years later

If you can afford a turbo forester then you can afford a second hand impreza turbo.... How will you run and insure a turbo engined car if you can't afford to buy a cheap second hand Impreza turbo?

You are here asking for help as you don't know how to do something. A guy who knows how to do it tells you it's a bad idea. You ignore it. Good luck

The short version is. Transplant every part from the other car. I mean every single working part. Then work out what to do with the parts that are not compatible with your interior electrical parts.

 

As for paying each week for what you want. A loan would allow you to do it monthly? That's how I got my first Impreza.

 

The forester is 600 quid.. Not 2000. And I don't do loans lol, anyway I've decided I'm going to sell sport save a while buy a turbo.. And fmj I bought the sport to see if I like subaru, and I love them I just fancy one that actually goes when you put your foot down.. I was just looking to see if could fit but involves way to much work.

 

No worries, glad to have saved you wasting time and money. Avoiding debt is best if you have the patience. You will enjoy it when you get it
