Default Sounds like I have a BOV but I don't!

Ok, so driving around today with the music off and the window slightly open and noticed that on lift off I could here a slight whoosh. Sounded just like I've fitted a BOV but I still run the standard recirc.

All I can think is I did fit a Cosworth panel filter at the last service a few weeks back so could it be that, being less restrictive? Just strange that I've only noticed today.

Car is a MY11 STI.

Cheers

All have dump valves, yours is oem and doesn't make the ghey chav noise.
I can hear mine on occasion, if I boot it in first and change as the boost has built up, but only very slightly.

Yep, know I have a recirc but never heard it before on the saloon.

Was not even on hard acceleration changing through 1st to 3rd it was wooshing away, quietly but was there.

Turbo knackered!!!

Only joking, even the standard re-circ gives a nice little whoosh of sound on throttle lift, gets louder with more boost put through it.

Has the car been mapped???
