im about to get my windows tinted and so was wondering what % tint people had on their cars and what they thought looked best.

at present all i know is that i want to do the fronts and appreciate these will have to be a bit lighter. Does this look odd if they dont match the rear ones? and how dark are the imported cars with dark glass as standard?

any comments would help.

I think you'll find it's stick-on dark film, not dark glass even in the 2-door Imprezas.

It's OK if done properly though.

im getting the stick on but im pretty sure the wrx sti has dark glass

Yep i think the sti type R has special dark glass on the rear 3 pieces.It is also meant to be thinner and lighter glass than normal!

i took a recomendation from Dr Evil, if you do a window tint search you`ll see his comments a couple of months back- e mail him.

The windows in a type R are defo tinted glass and not film.....mine are anyway.....I fitted the film to my van front windows though, I used the silver reflective instead of the black tint....Looks the bizz, you cant see in but it still lets good light into the cabin even at night.Have you fited it before? you need to take the glass out to do it properly.Mail me if you want details!
