Default clutch compatibility

Hi everyone.
i am now a proud owner of a 53 subaru impreza 2.0gx and a new member to this forum, after being after one for a couple of years one came along in my local area wich was a bargain and snatched it.
Unfortunately its in need of a clutch which I knew before buying it and being a competent car mechanic/technician thaught its not impossible.
after plugging it into my diagnostics, it had 10 cel codes, which I have fixed and only have one left to solve after owning it just over a week. Anyway back to the clutch side, im wondering whether to upgrade the clutch to a more aggressive one over standard, and thaught of putting a wrx clutch in it but dont know if the gx and the wrx are the same dimensionsand bolt locations for the flywheel, and wondering if anybody on here has any experience with this sort of criteria, so any info appreciated, cheers peeps

Yes, it is well its cable from the pedal to a slave cylinder then hydro to the box, so I presume its classed as hydro lol. ive been doing some research and found that wrx clutches are a 225 dia. Am I right on that or am I making it up in my head, considering theyre the same block im guessing theyre the same dia. But want a bit of clarification before purchasing a clutch witch is no use to me.

WRX clutches are 230mm from the factory although 225mm fit also as they are interchangeable.
