Default 6 speed gearbox and diff oil?

Hi all,

I'm upgrading my gear box with a 6 speed, what is the best oil to use in the box and diff please? Any pros or cons to certain oils?

Thanks very much

It does mean venturing into Redruth though.

You need a 75w-90 for the gearbox and diff.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-673-75w-...ion-fluid.aspx

If you want to go for the best, the Millers CRX 75w-90 NT, Gulf Competition, Motul Gear 300, Red Line 75w-90NS and Millers TRX are ideal. The Castrol Universal/Universal Plus/Syntrans Multivehicle, Motul Motylgear and Fuchs Gear Syn are all decent alternatives.

We're here until 5.30 if you want to head over.

Cheers

Tim

What would be best for Dccd 6 speed Tim?
I am having one fitted in a few weeks In my classic v5wagon

The box / diff etc came from a 06 plated widetrack

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil

I would usually go for this in the gearbox with a DCCD set up

Hi Lee

You'll need 4L for the gearbox and 0.8L for the diff.

Cheers
