On the way back from Castle Coombe, heard a loud squealing (over the Ibiza soundtrack ) & having slowed down, listened, pondered & phoned Simon de Banke & he guessed it was the front n/s wheel bearing

Drove gently back home (shame as I'd been driving like a ***** all day & was looking forward to some twistie bits ) & yesterday called out "Subaru Assistance". They duly turned up 45 mins later & confirmed my diagnosis - well shagged & rattly wheel bearing It even rattles when not on a jack

Anyhow, they came & took it away today, so hopefully it'll be back tomorrow or Wednesday. Should be covered by warranty - has anyone else had a similar problem? PTMW! has covered 25,500 miles...

Yep, front left went on mine. Awfull noise, nightmare but not covered under warranty, being a WRX and all.

Puff.
It may have only done 25k, but how many of them were done at excessive load on a track?
Most tracks run clockwise, and therefore the n/s/f takes all the stick.
Hope it's fixed soon
Ron.

Point taken, but n/s/f is also the one that gets it on roundabouts too! Can't stop people going round them... Who lives in Milton Keynes
