MY01/02 gearbox into 98/99??

Does the new shape WRX gearbox fit into the old shape WRX? I am not talking STI here by the way.
If so, is there anything to watch out for (starter mounter bolt changes, or whatever)?

I think the drivetrain didnt change between the previous models so as the gearbox hasnt changed either id say it'll fit. best to do is call your local subaru dealer and confirm it.
