Default oil filter

Afternoon fellow scooby people.
Just wondered where you guys get your oil filters from? Last one I bought was from Subaru and cost me over £20 which I thought was scandalous seeing as its smaller than a can of coke lol
Anyways are the "genuine" ones on ebay any good? They look the same as my one from Subaru.
Car is 2005 STI
cheers all x

About £13 for an OEM black filter from ICP IIRC.

another user of the blue print filter here not much more than £3.00 from the local motor factors, been using them since the genuine Subaru filters went astronomical in price.

This makes interesting reading. Remember 99% of the time something is cheap for a reason.

I've posted this before but I use the. Mazda RX8 oil filters. They are made by the same company (Toyo Roki) who make the old black Subaru filter. They make filters for Honda and (as mentioned) Mazda and are high quality.

The RX8 one has the same bypass pressure as the Subaru one too.

I'm not interested in bickering over whether a £3 filter is just as good but if, like me, you like to use higher quality service parts (which are still relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things) then the Toyo Roki RX8 filter is a good thing.
