Default 5 speed clutch and fly with 6 speed?

Hi Folks,

bit of background first, I fully serviced my Bugeye WRX, including a new exedy pink clutch before a remap. Unfortunately the big end bearings let go during the map. So now the engine is going to be rebuilt to handle abit more power so I've decided on going for a 6 speed. The 6 speed box will come with the clutch and fly wheel, though the condition of these is unknown at the moment.
I have been informed by several sources that I can use my nearly new 5 speed clutch and the 5 speed fly wheel with the 6 speed box.
Is this right? as if doesn't seem to make sense to my non mechanically minded brain. if so, are there any disadvantages or maybe advantages to using a 5 speed clutch and flywheels?
Whatever, the 5 speed wont be wasted as it will go in my wifes uk2000.

Thanks in advance for the help
Lee

Have less area of friction but don't abuse it or be running 10000000 bhp n launching it on cement all will be fine

Remember if your using the 5 speed clutch and fly you'll need to keep your 5speed starter too as they are different iirc

thanks guys, much appreciated. Think I'll wait and see how the 6 speed clutch is condition wise, then decide.
