Default rear STI spoiler removal..

how is the rear STI spoiler attached??

bolts?
bonded?
or both?

mines real dirty underneath and was going to take off and give it a good clean.. but not if its bonded..!!

if its bolted is it straight forward removal..as in it doesn't need re-alignment like a bonnet or bootlid.

thanks

Should just be bolted on, but with silicone sealant around the holes under the spoiler. I think they usually pull off ok.

May want to renew the sealant where you find it though. Don't over tighten the bolts though as you may encourage leaks etc. A good firm "Nip" ought to be enough.

You'll see good access to the bolt holes on the underside of the boot.

Someone here may know the torque settings.

The seal is a soft foam gasket usually.

Don't forget the 2 bolts behind the rubber stoppers.
