Very sad news. Being a fan it's a very sad end to a monumental band, I saw them live and will never forget it. They had originality, genuine musicians and not overly produced modern crap.

Poor Angus.

I heard about this on Planet Rock yesterday and they said to take it with a pinch of salt until an official statement is made today and it could be a publicity stunt to sell tickets for the forthcoming tour. Whatever I hope the rumours are not true. Would love to see them one last time before they retire.

Yes I agree, I've read on another story that he's showing early signs of altzimers disease and finding it hard to play. From the stories we can conclude he's not 100% but hope it a case of Chinese whispers and he gets well soon.

Poor Angus.
Stories going both ways at the moment. I do, however, have a horrible feeling there is some truth behind it, despite Billboard's article, as no one from the band or their management has commented.

Seen them twice. Way way back in the day and latterly on the Black Ice tour.

PS - It's Malcom who has apparently been ill, not Angus. Stroke followed by a blood clot on the brain is reported, although again who knows what can be trusted in the media these days.

I've been a fan since the late 1980's. I hope that they will continue and wish all the members of the band all the best.
