Well it looks like I need to replace both rear axles since the boots closest to the rear diff are seperated and enough grease looks to be in them. I'd rather just replace them rather than installed a new boot with grease since I don't know how long its been like that.

Can anyone tell me what rear axles or even a part # would be for a 96 WRX import would be? it has a R160 rear diff. Thanks!

 

Anyone know if a 95 jap import wagon wrx has the same rear axles as my 96 wrx? or if there's a easy way to visually identify my originals to compare to whatever ones i may buy?

 

I think I found the correct part #s based on this russian site that also lists OEM #s
28021FA161 - Right Rear
28021FA171 - Left Rear

Anyone know of a good UK parts dealer that can cross reference these OEM #s to another brand by chance? Thanks

i assume that as long as another trans has the same gearing info as mine then I can use the rear axles from another gc8 that match? 93-96 WRX match all the gearing info with different transmission codes
