Newage what?

WRX one goes pretty much straight on, STI one needs faffing with. I've got a newage WRX one on my MY00 classic, don't think there was any issue. Sure I just adjusted (bent) the brackets out.

Sti 8 is the one to go for.
I did it on my classic, and stil got all the bits to fit it.

Sorry a wrx bugeye tmic to a 1999 classic facelift wrx. Are the pipes the same and does it need mapping after
