Default AAAAAARGH!!! F**KING POND LIFE

Some bottom feeding, scum sucking, festering t**t tried to steal my spoiler.

I only noticed yesterday, so it must have happened early Thursday morning or late Wednesday night.

They wedged a screwdriver under each end and tried to prise it off. One of the retaining nuts was pulled through the skin and the other is mushroomed above the skin. The locating holes are now uneven and ovalled. The beading round the rear screen is also displaced!!!!

They did not get away with the spoiler but I am f**king mad . ****,****,****,****,**** etc etc......................

I now await the estimate

*******,

I know how you feel, had my old car broken into once, over a grand's worth of damage for £350 Cd player

If I'd of caught them I'd of nailed them to a tree with a nail gun and then beaten the crap out of them.

group buy on proximity alarms?????

Really gutted to hear this Ian .... it makes me really F***ed off enough to hurt someone if I caught them at it !

Only yesterday I caught a load of kids outside my works hovering around my RB & when I got home I noticed they'd nicked my subaru valve caps ! The stupid thing is they only had 3 and left 1 on the car what the f**k are they going to do with those ???

Feel for you Ian,

This makes my blood boil, I have said this before like others on here: "Shooting the little ******* would be to good for them"

Why can't one of us just catch one of them in the Act..?

I'm sure we would all like to give him/her a good shoeing...!

Criss...

A similar thing happened to me on a BMW I onced owned except the idiots tried to prise the door open with a screw driver. In the end they smashed the window and only then did the alarm finally go off. The police caught the gits whowere charged and ordered to pay me compensation which obviously they did not. They were finally sent to jail for a couple of weeks for non payment of whatever at which point I was asked to fore go compenation as the culprits had paid their due. If I did not I would be permitted to pursue it throught the small claims caught.I saw no point. So I recieved no recompense but £300+ of damage to drivers door.

Another night my sister had her car broken into but when it failed to start due to the immobiliser they torched the car. Noone was ever caught.

Rant over

Not to sure when it happened. The car was at home all day on the Monday. We took wifey's car the The Royal Welsh to attract less attention! Tuesday and Wednesday with me in work, apart from 10 mins in Tesco Western Avenue. Thursday morning noticed the problem. BUT, it's not the thing I check every day "kick tyres, check fuel gauge, start engine Oh check rear spoiler!".

So not sure, but it looks like a new tail gate

It has a double skin which would need to be peeled back to expose the inner skin to attach new nuts etc. Also, to smooth out the damaged holes would be a night mare

Estimate should be burning a hole in the hall carpet at the mo, can't wait to finish work today.........................NOT

So any help is much appreciated

OMFG! B@st@rds. Must have been Tesco's Ian. No one would chance it outside your house or work. Unless they are deranged as well as stupid. Who else do we know that needs a Wagon boot spoiler? Its not exactly a pinch on spec just in case you meet someone who needs a WR Blue Wagon spoiler is it? And I doubt it fits a nova, saxo or other piece of McDonalds or high street skeletrics tin they borrowed off their upstanding pillar of the community parents.

Have had loads of info etc re-salvage and someone who as a spare! Scoobynet is great!

www.japperformanceparts.co.uk
www.cityautosalvage.co.uk

to mention a few. Some top stuff on here. Had quotes of £100 and £125 for tail gates!!!!!!!!!!! The skin flint in me is coming out. Also, the son-in-law reckons he can fix it for a few notes (car mechanic and bodyshop worker that he is). So fingers crossed

Job done. After much soul searching, scrapyard trawling and no quote from CVC I decided to let the son-in-law loose with the job.

I was expecting a bill for 3 figures and yes it was............................................... ........................................

£3.99

Yep £3.99 for some double sided tape. To be fair there was a bit of knocking and tapping with some bodyshop hammers and a new thread insert fitted and some Hammerite undercoat and silicone sealer but who cares.
I challenge anyone to see the repair.

It's better than the "NEW TAIL GATE" quote I never got from CVC
