Can't see it myself. Neither side was backing down and all diplomacy attempts failed. So assuming Argentina refused to budge, I really don't see how Maggie would have given up.
I guess a blockade of their shipping would have been an option, sinking anything that moves, but that could have gone on for months/years.

You maybe right, plus Argentina was in a pretty awful political and economic state at the time, so those kind of tactics would of been painful for them
Still no chance of the UK using nuclear weapons though, that would be utterly unthinkable in those circumstances. It is, and has always been a nuclear deterent, not an offensive weapon. The global consequences of using it unilaterally are totally incalculable
