A blast from the past. I remember Sara from some humorous threads gone by. This is so sad and I genuinely hope the treatment goes well. And remember, if you are ever feeling down, pop into NSR and you will be cheered up no end

Hey you all, thanks for the good wishes, I will keep them in my emergency kit with the plasters and bubble wrap 
Its good to see some the old crowd are still about, god knows what you all find to talk about though....
Swissy, the floral /pee smelling twee old peoples home we stayed in was like a scene from a Hitchcock movie. I even resprayed my bumper in the carpark, it was a crazy weekend lol.
I had to have a cull on FB, it was brutal but necessary, you may have been caught in the crossfire lol I had to get rid of a snitch......
Brian, tell your backside, much appreciated, but whats wrong with your mouth?
Anyway, ive been for my first treatment earlier, now im waiting for the side effects to kick in this evening....its going to be an eventful night I think.
I'd love to chat carp with you lot but I have to prepare for later.

good luck sara, id love to put some big strong speech here that will motivate you through the bad times but I can't think of anything, I'm sorry, the reason being is that everyone is different, you will find strength an determination at times and places you never thought you would.

Lisa! Hiya hun! Yes it was the Elvington weekend, we had a few light showers and bodyparts fell off due to hypothermia, I just remember walking round under a blanket trying not to look wet with a hangover the next day. Glad I got to meet some northern people, thats an experience itself.
Also we got to meet Bugeye Peas who I hear has sadly died? He was such a lovely bloke
Thank you everyone for alll the lovely posts, i got up feeling battered and confused, even my eyes wouldnt see lol. Im feeling very lethargic and itchy now but its managable... until the bodily fluid explosions start, i just hope its not projectile as it will be both ends!
Its time for my pain relief and my next lot of drugs soon so its over and out for me this morning....ever get the feeling that tmi is not a good thing?

Its a week tomorrow and im starting to feel it now. The realisation of whats ahead of me is starting to hit home. There arent any short cuts, I have actually got to do this for a year! Even then, there is no guarantee the treatment will work. Its really hard to force yourself to go through something that is going to be horrible, it could all be for nothing in the end.
I will probably feel better tomorrow. The meds mess around with your marbles a bit...or is that just me?
