ESOC @ Rally Day, Castle Combe - Saturday 20th September 2014
Okay guys,
At time of posting this thread I also included that I would send the tickets for £1.
Some of you chose to do that. I can still do that if you wish or I can hand them out at the meeting point for the convoy on the day and return your £1. This also eliminates the possibility of them getting lost in the post.
To be honest this is lots easier for me to hand them out on the day as up you can imagine. However if you want them sent then please let me know.
Cheers.
Frayz

As we discussed mate, I'll meet en route - I do the run across to Chippenham regularly for and I can never get across without a service stop early in the morning anyway!!!
I'll be leaving from Chelmsford so let me know if you need any help.
I'm also on the look out for a passenger ticket as my wife (who I thought wouldn't be interested in coming) would like to join me.

Well Rallyday was a good day and there some very nice cars on display, especially some of the old and new rally cars.
Big Shame with regards to the attendance of the show from ESOC, we had 6 cars show in total, 2 of which we're not Subaru's.. I think it was the smallest club stand on the day

Small, but perfectly formed (or is that what my wife says
) - and dont't forget 33% of the Essex stand was from Middlesex
Thanks to Frayz for organizing it all the same - it was a great day out until my CEL came on driving home - either my MAF is on it's way out or I've got an airleak in the inlet/vacuum system

I've been to every Rallyday (up until last year, with the SIDC) except one and this was by far the smallest club stand I've been on. Having said that, My son and me went to one of the very early ones in the Sierra Cosworth he owned then and we noticed that the club area for the Essex RS owners group had precisely NONE!
Long gone are the days when Essex was the heartland of Scooby ownership.

I completely forgot about that 33% of the stand... It is a real shame as not only is it a great opp to show off ya pride and joy and represent the Essex Subaru scene but the amount of time and effort spent by Frayz goes to waste which after time will make you think 'what's the point'.
In other news, how good was my timing in catching you up on the M4?! Literally yards before the junction to take and I show up

(we was there about half 9) but that was because most of our members that had tickets backed out mostly at the 11th hour for one reason or another
and another member has just got his series McRae back on the road after a respray so that was on the series McRae stand but have said all that, we have never been able to drum up that much interest in this show and this was our 6th year of attending as a club, i just dont understand why people wont even go once as im sure they would return year after year as i keep telling them...........forget every other show/event this is THE one to go to i may be grovelling next year to get on another clubs stand if i cant press gang more members to go

cheers
Pete (Beds and Bucks Scoobys)
