There will have been 5 people in the car who are claiming as they all have whiplash, they will collect £1,000 each.
this is why i said change insurance companies monday before this can happen, that way they won't be able to claim, because you won't be insured by them when they try and claim

I already have a claims management company in mind that I'm going to ring and they guarantee you won't loose your excess and its a no win no pay fee but since mine is quite easily clear cut as I haven't hit a car and the other driver has already admitted to driving in the wrong lane its just a given that I will win?

The only annoying thing is on renewal say they say accidents fault or no fault

Insurance companies are modern day Dick Turpins
My last car was parked up at work and hit by another car whose owner hadn't applied the handbrake fully.
Even though I wasn't even in the car and had no influence in the event I still have to declare a no fault claim which results in an increase premium.
Despite all the sorry apologies the girl in the next office offered I have to pay more for my insurance whereas she with her NHS company car probably pays sod all!

My insurance company rang me today and told me the other party isn't pursing a claim, what was the point in getting the police involved in the 1st place when they were at fault.

Four years ago i was hit by a driver pulling out while i was overtaking,

They clearly didn't look,

Admitted they were going for it, lol so knew they were in the wrong !

Did the usual stopped exchanged details etc...

Clearly asked is everyone ok - Reply YES

Damage to her car minimal - broken indicator / scuff on bumper

I had a dented wing and scraped right the way down the side ...

3 days later i get a claims management & soliciter asking me to admit liablity and threatening legal action if i doidnt provide data as to who was driving etc..

I told them to do one! and told them any comms would be via my insurance co ...

(fat lot of good they were) basically said, submit your car for repair, and we will persue the case ... but you have to take the hit on the excess £450

Told them no way , it was up to them to get the money not me ...

Then i get the whiplash claim x 4

Bear in mind she drove into me and was doing no more than 15mph

I refused to admit liability and we asked for supporting evidence ....

3 years later... no evidence and the ambulance chasers dropped the case..

It passed the date that a claim from either side could be pursued

(the outcome would have been a knock for knock, even though it wasn't my fault)

My car never got repaired, but i still have to declare it for 5 bloody years, and yes it does affect your premiums!
