I don't mind paying the 490 per year tax ( i do really ) Luckily I insure my car for £500 per year and only 2 years no claims, and I can drive any other vehicle insured or not on my policy. I know a lot of people my age, 28, paying around 2k+ to insure a hawk sti, what's everyone else paying and how old are you etc...

My 'total cost' (Ins + VED) is £636 + £280.
I guess there's a lot who are less than £916/yr.
(I'm annoyed with the insurance - got caught in the 'no policy for 2 years' trap and lost my 25+ years of NCDs. Not the fault of my current insurer/broker though).
