Let's not bicker over these matters another Subaru enthusiast has bit the dust, and it's a sad day, every tabloid newspaper is already demonising Subaru owners without the in house fighting.we have all had a quick dust up on the road with another car so I try not to point the finger at people for doing the same thing,I have lived and learned as they say and consider myself to be one of the lucky ones. There is a place for them things now(Track days drag strip etc....)SJ.

In case it hasn't been spotted yet, there was an astra involved in the crash and the driver and passenger have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving

Standard practice if there is suspicion they were racing each other.

RIP to those involved.

If they were racing it doesn't make them bad people, as the papers would have you believe, just makes them unlucky. The papers version of 'street racing' is probably a lot different to the reality.

Although it was very fortunate it was a lorry they hit and not another car, as there could easily have been more deaths.

The car didn't have no Nitro (NOS)
The car wasn't a wagon
And the car was not speeding. It was doing 50mph when the Astra driver has pushed him off the road.
I know all this as I was at the scene.

Please can all you stupid immature idiots who are leaving stupid and sly comments please back off and die as I don't want you talking **** about my best mate who was totally innocent and died in the car.
Grow up you stupid side minded people.

And big thank you all to everyone leaving the lovely comments and PM's. Thank you all!

wouldn't it just be easier if an administrator removed this post then firstly NO more stupid or sly comments could be added........

or if it cannot be stopped or removed then don't keep looking at it....unfortunately your mate may have been totally innocent but it will not stop people talking...

I thought it was a 30mph speed limit where the crash took place.

Unfortunately most people first heard about the accident through the newspapers, and their lies (and the apparent lies of other witnesses) are all over the internet through those stories.

Disgusting they can get away with printing such things really, by just assuming the worst trying to sell more papers and advertising space.

As above, RIP, and thoughts to friends and family of all involved.

that's not strictly correct as if it was away to sell more papers it would have been on the front cover as the other scandals and rubbish is put....

racing/not racing, speeding/not speeding ??

the main factor which caused the deaths is whether seabelts being worn in my opinion and im sure it will all come out following the enquiry etc

RIP

the seatbelt issue may have been relavent for the rear passenger but the front seats wouldn't have stood a chance.

Mate, they do it all the time and give not a **** about whose lives they destroy along the way. That's what Leveson was all about and would have curbed to some degree until Cameron bottled it as usual!

firstly its a terrible accident where people have lost their lives.

but are you seriously saying you were at the scene, watched three people die in a horrific way and the first thing you do after seeing such a horrific thing is post on here. that would be after extensive police interviews as your'e a witness to 3 deaths too.

sorry i dont buy it.

firstly get all of your facts right I was not at the scene and never said I was at the scene so NO I wasn't driving the astra

secondly I am a full time motor racing photographer and work in the media even though I don't have to prove what or who I am to you.... so don't tell me how papers work

id like to add my condolonces at this difficult time to the friends and family. weve all done stupid stuff god knows i have, its always a shame when accidents happen but that is what it was an accident presumably. terrible at this time of the year.......... in a related topic i just hope the do gooders dont use this sort of thing as an excuse to bring in that EU rubbish about modified cars they are trying to sneak in under the radar....remember everyone drive safe, drive within the limits of your skill and your car and if you want to give it some keep it for the track or quarter mile......terrible news rip
