A typical day on a car forum!

The Jamaicans will take some beating, and the Dutch aren't bad either.
In my experience they all put in a full 8-hr day - spread out between 8 in the morning and 8 at night .
Difference is that they are friendly and hospitable, certainly towards Brits.
Anyway, back in the real world there was a programme on not so long ago which said that France is now more popular than Spain (not sure if it actually said France was the most popular place) for Brits to retire to.
I worked with a lad who owned a Gite (I think that's the right word ?) and was preparing to emigrate.

Not for everyone but I've been here for 13 years now and easily the best move I've ever made

Well they couldn't do it by tank, boat or plane so I suppose something a little less obtrusive is called for
An estate agent who's happy that gazumping isn't possible !!!!!!!!!!!
You sir, are a true gent (and one in a billion I should think ).
You deserve to have a happy Christmas, and I hope you do .
( mmm - and you get it an hour earlier than us).
Yes I heard that too and certainly the Brits are now buying again in France but most of my clients (I sell mainly chateaux, estates, manoirs, etc.) are either Australian or US, closely followed by Swiss and Canadians. Property laws in Spain are extremely dodgy and many foreign buyers have fallen foul to local "scams" unfortunately". Property purchase in France is actually more secure than the UK (don't forget in the UK you don't actually own the land as there's still the "crown" clause in all freehold contracts and gazumping is not possible in France once the 1st contract is signed).

Im not surprised when most of you guys are accusing the newbies of making the place unhealthy. When in fact, its very hypocritical of you to say that, yet start a bickering match, - quote '10 pager' - when all you guys do is add fuel to the fire and to top it off still point the finger at someone else!
I thought SN was full of mature guys and not populated with mindless young people (to add I'm 21) who would usually be affiliated with their local cruise site.
Cue post count or how long I've been on the forum attack?

I've just sold a small (1million€) chateau last weekend so it's looking like the end to the year will be a good one and a Happy Chrimbo to you too ....

Do you want a VTA DV because it makes a loud noise?
Do you want to put stickers on your Impreza?
Do you want a stick on roof vent?
Do you want Lexus rear lights?
Do you want neons?
If your answer to all those questions is NO you'll be just fine here 'son'

Hey there, some questions:
Do you want a VTA DV because it makes a loud noise?
Do you want to put stickers on your Impreza?
Do you want a stick on roof vent?
Do you want Lexus rear lights?
Do you want neons?

I can see your point, it can get irritating having to repeat yourselves time and time again. Although being on a very popular forum such as SN is going to attract all sorts of people so it is to be expected.
I just don't think the more helpful guys (such as yourself) feel the need to involve themselves in these 'playground' antics. Just settle your differences and be done. Your all here for the same thing at the end of the day!
And don't worry I'm not drawn to all these mods you speak of F1-fan my approach is very minimal so to speak.
Cheers Mick, I can understand its hard to understand the younger generation these days who are all t3xt sp33k and yobby.

As a newbie that promptly f*cked off from this site, I pop back now and again just in case I find someone looking to buy a low mileage car.
I didn't mention on my previous visits that I worked for Dave Richards Autosport (Rothmans Rallying for those that don't recognise his name) Rothmans Porsche 911, 6R4, M3 and then after that.......the very reason this site exists.
I liked the original post, very true, and now I'm f@cking off again
Happy Xmas
This sites way of 'telling it how it is' puts off some owners that actually could help imo
