Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, in case anyone missed that awesome introduction, my name is Mark and I have the absolute honour of being the best man here today.
I do hope everyone is having a good time, I know I was up until this point.
I’ll be honest, I am a little nervous, but I’ve been told speaking at a wedding is like being at a nudist beach, it’s only hard for the first few minutes.

I have to prepare a speech for my wedding next weekend.... Not sure what's more worrying, me having to talk for a few minutes or the best man tearing me a new one!

 

You have the easiest job for the speeches, you don't need to be funny and you have a room of people who love you.

The best man has a room of complete strangers and he has to get a lot of laughs ..

Make sure you let your best man see your speech, but not the other way round, so you don't ruin any of his stories

 

Just to update- it went very well and he had everyone in stitches with jokes and a few dirty but funny secrets of mine... Even the Mrs approved

It is always nerve wrecking when you start to think about those wedding speeches preparations...

Once it's over and you feel like you have done the 'job', a great lift off your back can be felt
