Good advice and not a childish remark
Scoobynoob79 is now a respected poster after surviving his training
The list has allready been pointed out is missing the most important thing
Brakes upgrade are subaru sti 4 pots up to the job ?
no point in going fast quicker if you can't stop safely on time
People aren't impressed on here with big lists for power but std or brakes Left out
What about handleing mods first as Subaru are designed for the twisties not drag strips
I will also throw in something most important
Advance driving tuition or track day training first
A std Subaru is fast enough for most people
Good advice and not a childish remark

So you've chosen to take offence at some well intentioned advice being offered, good move
The remark about being scared to use the power was (I'm sure) was not aimed as a stab at your masculine driving prowess and bravery. It was more about being rightly concerned about causing damage to your car with the extra power available.
In spite of what you might have seen and read on here, not everyone is a pi55 taker mate.

Big list of go fast mods, no mention of brakes/suspension upgrades and "won't be tracked, just a daily driver."
Well I'm sorry, but 400bhp for the road?
What's the point? You will never use it(legally).
320 - 340bhp is within the engines limit and the gearbox limit, and IMO perfect for a daily driver, good USEABLE power without the need to worry about something going "pop".
A 340bhp WRX with awesome brakes and well setup suspension/chassis will worry quite a lot of much more powerful cars.
Brakes + Suspension = 50bhp
