Trying to save a buck by not paying the additional 85p for a signature and by using the worst courier service know to man. I know who I would blame on the delivery front - the courier. I imagine there is such hoohar as the sender also didnt pay extra to have it fully insured (Hermes is only £20 standard)?

One of three things have happened here:

ZX-TX has acted in good faith and Lofty has been impatient and not able to resolve the courier issue = Lofty looks like and is indeed a no8

ZX-TX has not acted in good faith = Lofty has been outsmarted and still looks a no8

ZX-TX wanted to act in good faith but then thought fk you and kept the unsigned parcel and dough = Lofty dug his own grave = no8

Haven't browsed this forum for a while so wanted to check in - glad i did love it when a no8 makes a no8 of themselves - is it the same Lofty that used to be in Corrie?

Exactly. Id take the £20 and put it down to experience. The seller isn't hiding is he?

In fact, if I was the seller, id throw the bloke £50 and say jog on!

Going from the long conversation posted the OP took a while to actually pay, in those circumstances I wouldn't rush to send something.

Why in the blue hell should he refund when he hasn't got his part back?

Do you have concrete proof that it has been delivered, as that is a very bold statement to make that he's ripping your mate off! If someone claimed they'd returned something to me, I sure as hell wouldn't refund until I had my goods back.

Herpe's are on a par with Nodel, see what I did there, they're both absolute crap. They make City Link look like UPS.

I wouldn't Chris, I'd tell him to **** off until I got my part back. No part returned, then the OP can claim off Herpes, everyone's happy.

Are wagon scoops and under trays smaller than saloon ones?

Might explain why it was larger when the seller originally bought it.

Unless Hermes can provide a signature there's no case to answer. They are couriers so obtaining a signature at the point of delivery is a fairly basic requirement.

Yeah have to pay 85p extra for it, which lets face it, is a prerequisite if your sending something to someone you dont theoretically know, and ESPECIALLY when using a liability like Hermes to look after your parcel!

Indeed Maz, and in most companies leaving safe without authorisation is gross misconduct, for those that don't understand what that means, if you're the one that did it you're pretty much fecked and getting sacked.

Most people used by Hermes are local, self employed individuals. So nobody to sack.

I don't normally get involved in threads of this nature but I've bought several parts from Craig & collected from him in person,he is a genuine guy & definitely not out to rip anyone off. I believe the issue with the undertray was a genuine mistake,Craig may be a little naive with some parts that he has bought in good faith himself, he bought that undertray as an sti undertray & is merely selling it on as what he was led to believe it is.

He has straight away apologized and offered a full refund in light of the error, I don't see what more he could have done, its a shame that Hermes have failed to deliver or have lost the parcel but as with any courier company the responsibility of claiming for the loss lies with the sender.

Just put a claim in and get your money back through Hermes and put it down to bad luck, I think the op has shown pretty bad form dragging it all up on here and Facebook trying to rubbish the seller when he has quite clearly done more than enough to try and resolve the matter.

Craig has done nothing wrong imo, I had an issue recently where a part I bought from a breaker on this forum was delivered damaged & I had to wait for the breaker to claim the money back from the courier company before I got my money back, that's just the way it is.

Not strictly speaking Chris, can't sack them in the truest sense yeah, don't have to give them work though. They can tell them to never darken their door again though.

Of course I don't, they won't give a flying **** at a rolling donut. Unless it's persued then they might try go give a flying ****, or at least give the impression they do.

Having worked at City Link for over 10 years, I left last Christmas, I'm well aware of things that go on.

Bang on, need to pay extra for signature and text notification delivery with Hermes. No signature then the driver can do what he wants (throw it in a field if he wanted) and you can't claim for a parcel that has no signature requested. End.

FYI- re the under tray, the bug sti under tray is same size as wrx bug under tray and looks very similar, just the air intake for scoop is a bit longer to cover the area of tmic, blob under tray won't fit bug full stop.
I think op never knew this and just took a quick look without even knowing tbh and 'impaitenty' kicked off.

I wouldn't refund if I never Recived back.
