Oli_P you just seem to be taking your car to the wrong so called "specialist",because they just seem to be taking the p1ss out of you I have owned my Subaru since 2004 and the problems your having now I have never come across before, there is no way I would give any company a red cent if they damaged my car in any way,the reason people take there cars to specialist is because there suppose to know what they are doing.you need to talk again to the guy you bought the car off as I doubt he would of sold it to you with all those problems, nothing seems to add up.SJ.

The calipers were off only a few days before you bought it,to fit the skimmed discs
I will put my life on it they are not seized AT ALL,i took them off and put them back on with a 8" long 19mm spanner!!
If the alignment is ballsed up then take it back, did they provide you with a data print out of before and after?

Stone Jedi it was myself who he bought the car off,
And I strongly agree to have a strong word with this so called "specialist" as NONE of these were evident when I owned the car
Seems to me they have made a complete mess of things :-(

I Agree with you jake, but I feel for him as I know he has just bought the car and doesn't deserve the experience he is going through by cowboy mechanics, sounds like trading standards might have to get involved.SJ.

Well I feel I'm abit late with the lock but issue, as that was 10am they said they will have to air chizzel it off, as they said that was te only way they could get it off, so had to ok it even though I wasn't happy with the idea of doing it.
As for geo from what I've read on here they're meant to be gods at this kind of thing but it was scooby world who did the geo setup Monday same time they had the wheels off. Chevron say they were on too tight.
But before this I was told they couldn't bleed the brakes as they were on the wrong way. I then called back to let them know to go ahead and sort them to have a call back 20mins later saying the lock net has sheared off. Thing is in the situation I'm in I'm unsure what to do as surely chevron would just blame scooby world for the wheel but issue and blame e passed back and forth.
As I said to my dad who is an ex mechanic himself surely jake wouldn't of been able to bleed the brakes if they were on upside down when he fitted them?
I'm about to pop over now and see what's happening

I suppose it is a pass the buck with the locking wheel nut unfortunately,
Although I think there is certainly better ways to of removed it without causing any damage to the wheels.
And I really can't see how the calipers can be on the wrong way, as you just said they were fitted and bleed on the car fine and they work fine lol

Right ive just been, Its the locking nut key that's broken not that nut, unsure about the brakes forgot to ask if they meant the calipers themselves or the brake discs? :S

chevron checked the geo setup whilst it was there, about its got 2.5deg on the rear, Simon said they don't even run that on there track cars, and most they run is probably 1.5 unsure if that's positive or negative, im assuming negative. Unfortunately I never got a print out from scoobyworld.

They've noticed another problem, which I was there when they noticed it, that either a bracket on the turbo or up pipe unsure which, is not on there and causing the turbo to rotate, which has caused the intake pipe to be squashed against the inlet manifold I think, which apparently can cause stress on the header and maybe crack them, so that's something that will need looking into at somepoint

well they could be right on the calipers, me and a mate were out taking photos of the car few days ago, and ive asked him for any pictures showing the wheel/caliper area, and looks as if they bleed nipple is actually at the bottom.
Ill have to go look at the pics myself though, as my mate had zoomed in, and then took a pic with his phone, so not best quality, but looks as if bleed nipple is at the bottom in the pics.

Cars back anyway, and they fitted some new nuts on

Tbh I was quite surprised when you said chevron had the car, I've only ever heard good things about them guys (no personal experience) especially when it comes to the geometry of the car.

So its lookin like they have picked up on bits that others have missed which is why it looks a bit out of place when the car has just come from another garage after having work done, and with the locking wheel nut key they would probably be right if its over tightened as you don't torque them as tight as the rest of the nuts as that's what tends to happen, or the threads go on the outer of nut, but still surprised they had to use an air chisel to get it off, it must have been EXTREMELY tight if that's the case.

Trouble is when you've gone to one place and then taken it to another and they find problems the first didn't it does make you wonder but in this case I think the beady eyes of the guys at chevron have picked up on bits previously missed! And as a result questions have been raised, starting to look like they may be spot on the money by the sounds of things tho?

too be honest I should of taken a picture of the locking key, it had ripped the centre of it out.
But as said, scoobyworld only had the wheels off to fit the coilovers, but still kinda surprised of no mention about the calipers.
But from what chevron had said, they geo setup is OTT and apparently seems the car will be tail happy in wet weather with how they set it up.

But yes, whilst I was there we noticed the the intake pipe was squashed against inlet mani, as the turbo has rotated on the up pipe due to a missing bracket, which they said will put stress on the headers and cause they to crack eventually, as will the water leak, they say longerm could crack where the banjo fastens on.

Unsure what they mean by the breather hose, but they mentioned that was rubbing slightly on the drive shaft
