Cheers guys, yes not a fan of stickers, was tempted to add an STi badge to the boot but I guess would be frowned upon :/ if I keep it long term and get a 6 speed fitted it would pretty much be one along with the engine

Yeah I heard about coilover socks when I had my Evo, just keeps the threaded section on coilovers covered up to help prevent road dirt and other crap from getting to them.

Can't decide if I should do my heater/ stereo surround in Matt or satin black. Would be doing the airbag on the STi steering wheel same colour, but tempted to try get a hawk STi wheel instead

well unfortunately, I think the car maybe dead Gave it abit of welly in 2nd gear, then heard a kind of cog kind of grinding. Initially thought I had killed 2nd gear.

Pulled off onto side road, car seemed to idle fine, but occasionally when drive slowly along all power goes as if car wanted to cut out or being suffocated, put it in 3rd wanted to die straight away, so put it back in 2nd to keep abit of moment as literally just down road from my house,
then all dash lights came on as if engine had completely died, but then picked straight back up like flick of a switch, still wasn't wanting to pootle along.
Glad I got it home, call RAC in morning and get it sent to chevron, I think if engines in need of a rebuild I maye split for parts and get what I can, which I doubt will be much

Seem to have worst luck with cars, or seem to choose the wrong ones, unsure which, must of only put my foot down hard in it 4 or 5 times in the month ive owned it, with car needing to stay reliable with it being a daily drive. Nevermind, fingers crossed its only something minor.

I have felt something once or twice though just when driving along at a steady 40mph or something as If engine stuttered abit as if fuelling issue maybe, but haven't had a misfire or anything from it

The Subaru 2.0 litre is quite robust as long as it's well maintained it should not really give you any problem,I'm just glad that your project can continue now after all that talk about breaking itSJ.

nice car. the engine spec you have there makes a good fast road car. You have the engine, brakes and now the suspension sorted, 3 vital components for any performance car.

So whats next now that the MOT passed.

Well ive just finished making up the loom needed for me to fit my JDM HID's to the car, just need to see where im going to route the wiring then tidy it up abit.

Plus now the MOT's out the way going to make a start on fitting my STi sweep dials, also in the middle of spraying up my airbag, and stereo/heater surround matte black.

May look into getting my STi wheel and handbrake handle restitched in blue rather than red aswell.

Trying to source some new wheels aswell, and will be sticking my old ones up for sale shortly to help fund the new ones

STi clocks finally in, and everything working as it should only thing I couldn't sort was the C.diff light, so put piece of tape over it. Deffo a great mod to do and happy with the end result.

Also just finished plasti-dipping stereo surround, gearstick surround and vent surround, haven't fitted yet as planning to fit LEDs to the heater *****

hey tommy, handbrake needs to be earthed to work correctly, so light comes on and goes out when it should

Small update temporary look for the car, wanted to check the condition of the boot make sure there's no rust under the spoiler plus I've just managed to get a good deal on a genuine STi spoiler so staying spoiler-less for now.
Also just got my toyosport backbox fitted earlier. It's a tad loud as im running 2.5" ninja downpipe with sports cat, into 2.5" deresonated centre section into 3" backbox.
Will be going back down to exhaust place tomorrow to get the toyosport resonated centre section fitted hoping that it will quite down the car abit as feel's embarrassing to drive now, although does makes a few nice loud bangs on overrun

Also done the "JDM" mod to the rear lights, swapped over the brake lights/sidelights so the circular part is now my side lights

Looks good.
When you say handbrake needs to be earthed do you mean the lever?

no on the back of the clocks themselves, I had to add a wire to pin A1 to get it work correctly. So added wire to A1 and just put the other end to an earth.

smallish update, more purchased than anything.

Have finally finished off adding LED's to 05 HVAC unit, just need to fit the rest of the centre console in etc at some point.

Also have just purchased, a genuine STi rear spoiler, some grid drifts and side skirt extensions and rear spats.

unsure if ill be keeping the skirt extensions yet though, was ideally after the single piece ones. Unsure if they look correct aswell, I was expecting them to be just flat pieces of plastic that fasten to the underneath of the skirts and just stick out a tad.

Just trying to sort myself a new bonnet and STi skirts now, then can start to plan other things for the car

Lol, too be honest, I don't think it would look that bad, im possibly looking to get the car resprayed white in the near future once ive sorted bonnet and skirts out, and think pink would could go well with it, similar pink to the STi badges on the bootlid/grilles etc

Random Question but how did you go about adding the LEDS into the HVAC unit?
