All this garbage about Muslims, Islam or religion in any sense is clouding the issue.
With the exception of Albinos, Dracula, people with first degree burns or the like there is no legitimate reason to consider it acceptable here to cover your face in public such that others are unable to see who you are.
The comparisons that have been made with nuns are a joke as the only thing the nun is hiding is whether she has a Mohican or not.
Would all those suggesting it is OK feel the same if the men as well as the women were permitted to walk around like Daleks?
The only relevance religion has here is that it appears to be the vehicle used to justify the actions. Can I start wandering around Tescos dressed like Batman with no comeback? I doubt it.

No worries, as I said I only know that having gone through all that crap myself with the police! Before then I was thinking exactly as you were.
I always wondered what would have happened if I had refused to give them insurance details and copies of plane tickets as I am pretty sure they had no legal right to ask me to provide them... certainly not the plane ticket anyway!

And you slag off the Tories in every other post you make, over and over again, so what is your point? You are as consistent and predictable as TDW with his A'level Sociology tripe and Matteeboy with his I'm a super athlete/ninja master/mountain bike champion/SAS reservist, Cornwall is heaven/my in laws are millionaires etc etc.
FYI, if I wanted to do 'the look at me thing' believe me I could come up with better things than a two hour charity drinks event that Georgie popped in for.

and quite how are they going to do that when they all look the same,? i can just picture the ladies trying to work out who it was, one says i think it was me, mine has a crease just like that on the right shoulder. don't make me laugh we all know whoever it was would get away with it, in fact i would be supprised if the camera lot would bother to send the nip and photo

As I have said many times Labour, Tories, Lib Dems.... they are all lying greedy self serving pigs at the trough! I really can't make my feelings any clearer than that

1) I won't respond to the comments about the charity because it would be inappropriate. However some people there have dedicated a large proportion of their life to that charity or caring for affected individuals (not me) and your flippant remarks say a lot about you.
2) Yes, you keep telling us how politically neutral you are however we aren't all as stupid as you. It is obvious that the majority of your hatred is reserved for the Tories. No problem with that as long as you admit to it and stop this pretense that you are above childish party politics.

I see our f**kwit government have ordered a report into the NHS policy over the wearing of veils by NHS staff yet this afternoon despite repeated efforts Radio 5 Live could not find one person who either wore on or knew someone who wore one or wnated to wear one whilst working in the NHS!!

Well so did I, but a couple of years ago a friend of mine from Aus was over here driving my car and she got snapped by the Lacashire Constabulary in a camera van. Think we had a thread about it actually.
Anyway they sent me the NIP and I replied to say that it was my Aussie friend driving which of course they thought was me trying to wriggle out of it using the old foreign friend trick. I asked for the photo and it clearly showed a blonde woman at the wheel. I pointed this out to them but they said it wasn't admissable as driver identity evidence and could only be used by me to help idetnify the driver if I was unsure.
They then asked me to prove she was in the country and insured on my vehicle as they had written to her and got no reply... yes they sent a letter to Aus LOL! She wouldn't have replied as she was still here
Now they may have been telling porkies as like you I thought the photo was evidence and was required in order to prosecute, but their arguent was the photo was required just to prove the vehicle was there and speeding not for ID purposes, I have a letter with it in so would have thought it was right!
All that over 35 in a 30 too
