where ever your friends are that's the way to tumble.
FYI Microsoft just sacked the entire Xbox marketing team, so that tells you something, it aint all that rosy in that camp.

ps4 is prob the right choice, im sceptical at what Xbox have coming but with Sony releasing streaming TV soon and other things, Xbox need to adapt or be left well behind.
On that note im pretty sure they will mine, but Now TV is ****e if you compare it to Netflix, just a poormans sky movies.
what you normally find is Kids prefer Xbox as its the norm at School us Older men Married Kids go PS4.

I'm seeing a lot of ps4's with faulty drives on a gaming Facebook group I'm on at the moment now they are a year older and thumb sticks falling to bits.
Ms have been on the ball with updates always adding features.

If you're sceptical about XBOX, then you should be equally sceptical about PS. Sony have just released the useless PSTV - it's a total waste of money.

And why is that, let me guess you have an Xbox. I personally thinks its the best thing to come out.
many a time im playing in my basement and would like to continue in the bedroom or main room but cant because I don't have a console in these rooms, for something the size of 3 *** packets I can play anywhere in my house now.
I do try on the Vita but the thumbsticks and setup isn't like the proper thing, these Tvs addons are a great feature, and soon as the TV streaming service drops even better.
Xbox are so behind the curve on that kinda thing its a joke...
Not seen much on the faulty drives to be honest, what I did read in the early days was the Xbox one had a pretty bad quality drive inside..

For the original poster and from my original post, get whichever you feel you want.
Forget hardware stats and what's is better on paper, go with game selection that caters for you and also catchment of mates, I have both and to be honest each have strengths and weakness. I think the next year will have some good content and Add ons just wish one of them would allow proper streaming from local files...

You need to try harder. I have both consoles and I'm an avid gaming/tech collector .
I have bought a PSTV. It brings no added value at all imo.
- Vita compatibility is limited.
- Wanging a vita resolution and upscaling to 1080p (which will be to 720p via the PS TV and then finally to 1080p by your TV) doesn't look great.
- PS4 remote play is, depending upon your sensitivity to lag, not that great.
- I won't even mention about (oops I just have) that various apps like Netflix and YouTube don't work properly on PSTV.
Apart from all functionality missing the point by a country mile, it's an awesome piece of kit.
I use both my PS4 and XBO and favour neither. I'm all about stuff that adds benefit and most importantly, works as intended.

id send it back then because mines perfect..No Lag at all. I only use it for remote play nothing else.
Is it the same on your Vita ?. maybe your network ? ive yet to feel lag on the Vita to be honest play destiny in bed although i do hate the Vita controls, hence why i got the TV.
Although not always possible mine is also Hardwired, i remember the reviews stated that Wifi wasnt great and not to use Direct Connection. Are you in Wifi ? Pain i know as not eveyone can have wired everwhere..

The guy at work today swears blind that the PS4 is the best, but then said the following:
The thumb sticks wear out, so get yourself some plastic covers from eBay
Online is a bit ****e
No real good racing games
At the end of the conversation I asked him well why would I buy one, which left him stumped.
No idea now. Racing games take up around 90% of my gaming time, so I'm wondering if there is any point in getting either console yet.

The rubber split on my DS4 after 11 months and over 400hrs on BF4. Contacted Sony and got a new one shipped out with minimal hassle so cant grumble.
As said above there is little too choose so go with which games your prefer.
