There should just be THE BIG ONE (TBO) located further south (don't know why I'm suggesting this as I used to wish for VW shows to be further north as they were all round Nottinghamshire area!).
But yer, 1 Big One would bring more people/clubs, therefore encourage more traders, which would in turn encourage even more people/clubs and offset any extra expenditure and possibly even make further profit for charity!
I also definately agree with an earlier point that perhaps the feedback from people saying they are willing to spend cash at such events should be passed onto traders Lordy. Perhaps post a simple poll up on here "Would you purchase from trade stands at shows?" and send the results to the traders when you invite them next year?

All good feedback though and I'm sure we're gonna have one hell of a debrief session from this years event!

I hear what you're saying mate. I was just thinking that at least it would give some sort of numerical idea of the amount of people willing to spend at a show to show the traders. Every little helps lol

Among all the healthy debate and conjecture (some of which is the same every year to be fair) which will get due consideration at our NBO11 debrief meeting shortly a few facts remain :
1. The Subaru community had a good day out at the NBO
2.
As a result of the Subaru Communities efforts we raised £3800 for Prostate Cancer UK.
3. LWV is booked and NBO12 is Sunday 29th June 2014.
4. And finally as nobody else has done so , on behalf of the NBO organisers Cumbrian Scoobs I would like to say 2 small words to all the Subaru Community who attended NBO11 and made it a success on many fronts :
THANK YOU

Just a point, I do believe there is already an SBO.
Regarding the club stand "issue", way back when there wasn't any club stands. All the cars were parked in the middle of the middle of the field. Anyway, it's not always about numbers, Subaru's etc, Subaru's do help of course, it's about thinking outside the box.
Would you believe that a club stand with 1 solitary car won club stand of the day? Well it did.
Crap pic off an ancient phone;
Mark, thought outside the box and rightly won.

Micky I remember that one well the bloke turned up on his own, set up a tent a few army target snipers either side of his car and dressed himself up in full army fatigues and a gun and a year later the 555 wagon squadron laid an airfield out on the grass with their wagons lined up for take off thats what its all about having fun,as for the SBO I'm sure that died a death after only one year

Oh yes
The Terzo stand
I got a lot of grief when he came second but it was simple and what I was looking
At for the vision
The following year the great mick charlsworth did a similar thing with the WR1
Stand perfect presentation ,club info etc
The brilliant Lads got into the theme with fantastic displays and lead the way
For a few years then who can remember the wonderful Alfie with SSC
Amazing he fetched army vehicles , wagons covered in Subaru graphics and
Subaru chopper motorbike
The lads fought back with the P2 and rally cars
We had TTS with water features , blue and yellow gardens and a full
Pit stop then the NWC came on the scene with blow up sheep and rugby
***** and sand and surfing and dodgy shirts
We have had some fantastic displays over the years
A lot of fun
As always clubs are about people
Arenas is for the cars
Totally seperate competions and at the NBO committee we will be racking
Our brains to see what we can do to make people buy into the Nbo
Concept have a laugh and make a few bob for charity in the process

I couldn't remember exactly what year it was. I knew it was early into my Subaru ownership though.
It would be nice to get some of the more oddball Subaru's back, like the SVX's. They're all getting pillaged for their engines now though.
I wonder if I'll get a long service(attendance) award in 2015.

Micky wrx should get a long term service award except he is the only bloke in 11 years that has not registered on the famous list
We will sort something out
Great to see a svx as we haven't had one for about 4years along with a Subaru pickup
Classics are getting rare too

I had my name down on the list to come as a spectator rather than a trader with it being my first time but the birth of my son so close to the date meant I couldnt attend.
Its good to hear peoples feedback and going from what Ive read and seen on photos I will be there next year as a trader. I think this show has a lot of potential and I'd like to be a part of it, I'm only new manufacturing parts for the Impreza but hopefully this time next year we will have a huge range of products that I can put in the back of a van and come up to show you all

Our field hire would double
Not sure how many more people would actually travel as we get most if the hard core enthusuists in the north
To travel up from the south would be unknown quanity for us
Thought someone would of copied the NBO concept for the southern boys by now or even a Scottish version

TBH you've got to have some ***** and be willing to sacrifice a lot of time, energy and I'm sure money to get one of these events up and running, something you know all to well. You've been there and thankfully you've been very successful. Maybe someone needs a friendly shove to get the ball rolling........
