I'm genuinely puzzled that he feels the need to post photos of himself on the internet for others to see, or indeed that anyone would be interested (or indeed that anyone would post anything about the mundane aspects of their life on the internet).
What next, Osbourne on the bog having the resulting McDump?
One thing Mr Cameron apparently said that was correct: 'Too many Tweets makes a ****'

I'm still a state in shock finding out Pickles actually has a sense of humour.

EPG 900-942.
But UK law (BBFC and Ofcom) means no gratuitiousness i.e. bereft of open beavers and close-ups of frigging, etc. lol.
It's ****e. Damn to our Victorian values hangover! Grrr!

being serious for a minute, off course Osborne is out of touch with the average man/family, it would be madness to think otherwise
absolute madness if you think he could relate to someone living on anything approximating the average wage
forget making anything resembling a valued judgement on the man, it is simple common sense
I would not (and do not) blame him for it
his idea of someone struggling, is the pressure of finding 30k every term for school fees
and it is a struggle, believe me, for many people - and also believe me when I say, George knows people who know people, that struggle to find that sort of money every 3 months (and still find the cash for a skiing holiday)

Not sure I agree Hodgy. I'm not talking about Osborne in particular as I'm sure you aren't either and your post refers to anybody from a 'privileged' background.
It is not true imho that such a person cannot empathise with people from different economic or social backgrounds.
If you have the right kind of personality and upbringing you can be the sort of person who has insight into the problems and challenges of people vastly different to yourself.
Similarly you can have people who once came from 'nothing' and because they catapulted up the economic ladder they quickly forget what it was like to be poor.
To me it's a cheap leftie jibe to suggest that the likes of Cameron, Osborne etc cannot possibly understand 'the common man'
Particularly as these jibes often come from people who themselves have had a fairly privileged upbringing.

well, I think I sort of am, tbh, -- but I take your general point re people from a 'privileged' background.
as I said, I don't blame him/them for it
and to call it a "lefty" point is a bit of an easy hit, I think it is human nature to a large extent
Because, I would also say that someone earning a take home pay of 2 or 3k a month would struggle to understand how someone would find it difficult to “make do” on 8 or 10 k a month (which is at the lower end of the scale needed to make ends meet these days)
but just as I don’t blame Osborne, I don’t really blame them
but we know it can be (riding, tennis, squash, sailing, skiing, ballet, football, clarinet, guitar, piano lessons - and that's just the wife)
we see jealousy and disbelief it on these very pages, people complaining about bankers/footballer pay/bonuses
btw, my father went bankrupt in the 70's when it was both financially and socially frowned upon - I know what it is like to have the gas board digging the pavement outside you house to disconnect you

I don't meet 90% of the population either but I don't think that someone on a 'mere' 50k per year is below my social standing.

Genius
