This whole Broad debacle I find hilarious and for one reason only - the convicts are whinging like kids when it's us they call whinging poms.

All I hear from Australian sportsmen recently is whinging, whether its Mark Webber in F1 crying like a baby about what's fair and what's not or whether it's the Aus test team complaining they can't win. Then of course don't mention the rugby. It's quite clear the once unsurpassable sporting nation don't make good losers.

Atherton had a good dig in his column in The Times by reminding everyone it was the Aussies who introduced the 'not walking' in cricket and now they have experienced some of their own medicine and they don't like it. Good

Some people saying that its no different to a bowler appealing for LBW when they know they have no chance.

Some stupid reviews by Australia today and it's cost them again. They need to learn using them all up straight away is not the way to go.

Interesting position for tomorrow, lets hope they get an early wicket and get into the tail. It's been a great days play today

An excellent Test and the right result

Ignore the whinging Aussies, I had this conversation with them when we beat them in 2009 and I posted the back pages up in here, they're terrible losers to the point where they wont even talk about it the following day as if it never happened.

Talking

If Broad had stood his ground against say South Africa, or India, for example, I would have been very disappointed. But the one rule above all others in cricket should be, 'You absolutely do not walk when playing Australia!'

Can't see Finn making the team on Thursday despite the squad staying the same. A bit of a shame to be honest, because he usually bowls well at Lords, but his confidence looks shattered, and the Aussies know it.

Just as I thought we were going to recover to a decent score we lose 3 senseless wickets. What is it with our batsmen being incapable of playing leg spin?! It's not magic ffs

At least the turn that was got from the pitch today should be promising for Swann.

LMAO @ reviewing that LBW. They really don't understand the review system do they? They seem to think it's an extra life system so if they appeal they won't be out

Even more laughs, when they should have used the review they didn't as it wasn't LBW and then used their last one on the next shout for out and lost again

It's been a superb day's play, only ruined at the end by us losing 3 wickets. Get a lead of 400 and it should be ours. Still can't believe so many wickets have gone in 2 days on that pitch, crazy.

I'm back, what have I missed? Oh that's right, England annihilating the convicts with only half a team performing. Wait till Cook gets his mojo back

In the meantime for Funkii http://youtu.be/INt29UGstkI

Once again making it hard for ourselves, but you can never tell, the Australians can always throw away a few DRS opportunities

Cook's an idiot. Obviously thinks his wicket must always use a review It couldn't have been more plum lbw and a total waste of a review. With how it's swinging I am praying for rain!

Good to see all of those pictures of ENG having their pictures taken with the fans after the OT test, couldn't imagine the England Football team considering that.

I see Warne has been whinging now as well, this time about the England players being disrespectful to the Aus team and being arrogant about retaining the Ashes.

Oh and now i've just read the cheat accusations They really can't handle losing can they the convicts?

Well given their performance with the new ball this morning, I think it's time to get radical and promote and Bresnan and Swann to 1 & 2

Then maybe Cook can look to recover his mojo at 4 or 5

I used to travel to Australia regularly.Have to agree with Australians being bad losers. When they win (cricket or rugby especially), its all over the Aussie news and newspapers. When they lose its kept very quiet. Steve

What a dreadful start, to give up on the new bowlers halfway though the first day isn't a good sign.

We've played poorly throughout the series and even then we've still hammered them

I think the man of the series *might* go to.......I can't believe I'm saying this.....Bell.
