These where made with a higher plinth to copy another manufacturers product that the customer had seen. The toilet roll holder was also as they requested.

Hodgy,

agreed, better than carpet, but there are better looking options available.

It's very nice work YMV. In an ensuite it would be great to have furniture that matches the bedroom furniture. It would flow so well and look really slick.

had to go with fitted wardrobes in our bedroom, due to to placement of windows and sloping ceilings. I wasn't happy at the time, as I was of the same view as the OP that it was all lightweight MDF tat. I was intending to put a solid oak floor in that room, and was worried that the 'cheap' look of veneered wardrobes, with uniform patterned doors would be more apparent and look un-natural against the wooden floor. I was put in contact with a local company who offered a bespoke kitchen and bedroom fitting service, I visited their showroom and over several cups of coffee we came up with a design. Obviously this comany won't be able to help, but as YVM has already shown the possibilities are diverse, and the quality of finish is good.

some pics of mine attached; Finish is walnut veneer.

The glazed doors have shelving behind them, behind the drawers is a large storage void, my wife has her wedding dress stored in a large box in there.

Mrs T needed storage for over 40 pairs of shoes, so behind the double hanging space there is 5 levels of shelving, slightly better view of it in the second picture.

Choice of handles - These were Mrs T's choice, I really like them.

When the kids are a bit older, I will use the same company to fit wardrobes in their room, it has the same layout at the other end of the house.

Thanks for posting the pics Tarmac.

A close up pic of your wife's knicker drawer would be really helpful though

Only joking of course
