I'm a bit late to the party I know, but the top 10% of taxpayers are most-likely staunch Tories and they pay 50% of all tax collected. If they want the funeral paid for by the state then so be it! Seems fair to me.

 

Ten million could well be better spent TBH.

Walking through London just now, it feels that with the amount of barriers erected and police at every road, helicopters buzzing around, and international press area, it's a state funeral in all but name.

How do you know this? and what of the majority who haven't found work don't they count?

£10 Milliion of public money is 'public' money, which should be spent on more needy things that the 'public' will benefit from.

 

What about the amount wasted on failed IT projects, billions in comparison, or the cost of holding Police Commissioner elections that no-one took part in, or the cost of interpreters for the NHS, and so on.

THESE are things that are a waste of public money, not the funeral of a world figure, which is small potatoes in comparison.

 

Did you watch the documentary that was on this week about the company/s that deal with our immigration system, that's a ******* proper waste of money, absolutely shocking TBH.
