Every BMW I've owned has been the most reliable compared to others

Not thought about buying a used car with that theory before. I guess it depends on whether the faults are common/well known and likely to have materialised before hand and therefore dealt with or whether there will be faults due to excessive wear and tear caused by high milage.

As others have said my 330d is the most reliable car I've had, and still love it 30k miles later...

I've had 2 e36's and currently own a e46 only thing it has needed is wear and tear parts.

Somebody posted up a picture of a dull looking 3 series estate that no one would give a second look or be interested in!

I would be thinking Porsche Cayman which is a fabulous car, particularly in the 3.4S form , 05-08 plate 15-20K.

If space is important, thean obviously you would have to go for one of the dullards ( like that 3 series estate) but otherwise- Live a little!
I think I'll stick a '****** wing' (Copyright me) on my dull wagon to individualise it a bit. What do you think?
