How old are these?

You mentioned they are inverted dampers (which is the difference to the BR series?), does this mean they have an external gas or oil resovoir?

I'm not that familiar with this feature or coilovers in general.

no there is no external ressy,just copied this from bc website.i bought them from bren@apex off here a couple years ago.

Inverted damper:
The BC Racing RM series feature high quality damping adjustable monotube inverted dampers at the front or front and rear, depending on vehicle.
