You would think with no job and 11 children to help, her garden would be immaculate.

 

As usual the media is all over this because it's unusual.
The fact is that two other families will be housed because her family is leaving the two houses they are now occupying. She isn't being given the place, it belongs to the council, who will eventually get it back.
It doesn't really matter whether you lump all unemployed together or not, they still need housing, unless you'd prefer it to be like Mumbai out there.
On balance, I'd rather support a society which cares for its people, even if a few slip through and take advantage. Believe me, most out there do not.
The only thing I'd say is I'd prefer it if we don't add to the problem by bussing more in, thanks all the same.

 

not to worry the council will be round in the morrning to clean it up your turn to pay mate im paying for the house aint paying to have her garden cleaned aswell

 

Had to wonder to myself at the 16 year old saying that she is self sufficient and pays for the Horse........our Horse costs £400 a month to run with stables / vet fees / hay / all the other sundry bits and pieces.

Wondering what job she has at 16 which makes her independant of her parents and pays for a horse?

Vince Cable on QT last night was saying that there was more about this which the tabloids don't report. Mother has serious cancer and he linked that fact to number of kids but I wasn't concentrating so missed what he said. Anyone else watch and remember?

Most on the QT panel were decrying the council house sales of the past which I think is a fair point.
