Tired Old Top Gear?
That was actually quite good ... without the Scooby interest, however, it may have been rather boring!
Just too many muddy roads and getting stuck - how much of our money are they paid for this?

The good old Impreza was imperious - as you would naturally expect it to be in such an environment...

The theme from 'Zulu' was a nice touch under the credits

Wonder how many of us blue bugeye wagon owners will appear to have more of a presence on the way to work tomorrow? Expecting mine to have an armchair fitted to the roof by the time I finish work; think I might get labelled angry yob too.
Really enjoyed that ! The Scooby probably lifted interest, but for me it was way better than Bolivia, Vietnam, Middle East or the awful India shows. Looking forward to next weeks, but I do hope they don't kill the Scoob after building it up and it doing such a good job.

I like the specials and this one has been ok so far. If it wasn't for the scoob the trip would have been over before it had begun. I wouldn't rank it about the Bolivia or 'Nam ones though, however, I'll hold fire until next weeks
Because it's what brings in the audience. Better yet, the vast majority of those whinging about the program are still watching it. And while it might be a bit repetitive, every idea I've ever heard put forward to "improve it" would drive most of the audience away.

We should start a new thread - Tired old Top Gear Haters - What to do with them??
I enjoyed it, yes I wish they didn't do the stupid mods to the cars, but as above it's what sells the programme to a wider audience. Some of the scenery was just fantastic and the Scoob dragging the utterly useless Beemer out of the mud was worth the hour's watching alone
its not really a car show now, but that doesnt stop it being entertaining.
i enjoyed this one, you knew what was going to happen but still watched and laughed.
the "pulling out of jezza" jokes made me laugh

Without the Scooby it'd be crap.. They are indeed fat fella's now & really do call Subaru Owners.. 75 per cent of our car parks taken up each show, yobs, hooning etc etc such sweet comments.. How do they fuel them & all of the crew vehicles.. It has to be better than the other drivel available..
There is always the option of not watching it

why do you take offence at what he says about subaru owners,
what do think people say when an impreza goes past?? ah theres the local vicar!!
its a chavs car and getting worse the cheaper they get.
they take the p1ss out of every marque of car in these challenges
Good point; lots of comments here about how it coped so well then upset, sensitive little souls bleating about the image thing.
Scoobs have a chav image, BM have a to55er image, etc. who cares?!

it would have been funnier if the wagon had wrc graphics though

Hook, line and sinker. I knew that would push your buttons... you are such a BMW fanboy, it's tragic on two levels... one that you are anyway and two you choose to be so on a Subaru forum
