Tired Old Top Gear?
Yeah that road race sucked. "Oo the ferry is taking forever", well fecking use the tunnel then! And when he gets off the ferry - there's no-one else around, they waited for everyone else to go before setting up acamera on the ground and filming it. Also the number of times the range rover camera car was in shot was ridiculous. So basically they only go as fast as a Range Rover no matter what car it is

Seriously, who the hell would tune in to watch some bloke in a bolier suite change the brake fluid in their Ford Focus?

It is light hearted entertainment, nothing more, nothing less.
To be honest, I have been watching Top gear since i can remember. Remember when it used to be the old format and played on a Thursday night?
It is like a religion in my house, as is Formula One.

Perhaps the camera Range Rover kept catching him up cause he could only get 140 miles range?
I enjoyed it, made a change that he lost!
Oh and I didn't know about the GT86 / BRZ sales split, nor that Subaru won't be selling the Impreza in the UK.
In fact, with those two snippets of info you can pretty much see that Subaru is near on doomed.

I am sort of on the fence with it.... I find it entertaining enough when it's on, but I don't make a point of making sure to watch it these days. I do think they have run out of ideas and they do seem to be a little more juvenile than in the past.
Anyway it's not the worst thing on TV and I don't feel passionately enough about it one way or the other to make a post in an internet forum about it....... oh damn

Spice it up with a helicopter crash ala Korean Top Gear:

So, the engine in the GT86/BRZ then, is it a Toyota or Subaru design, does anyone know
Subaru will be fine, they're still selling the Forrester, Legacy, and Outback over here
Those are the Subarus country folk actually buy, contrary to what the Brummie Dwarf was insisting last night

Nowadays they sell a quarter of the number of vehicles here that Porsche do. They will be a very long way from fine as far as the UK goes!
P.S. GT86 - Subaru block, Toyota designed heads so a collaborative effort!

In 2006 85% of the cars Subaru sold in the UK were Impreza WRXs or STIs.

i had alook at a brz engine bay at the autosprt show, i was suprised at ho3w different the engine is when compared to an impreza.
i imagined it would just be a n/a impreza engine but its vastly different
The Range Rover always keeps up, even when he was in the Veyron as they have to obey the law, and even lardy gas guzzling 4X4's can do 70mph (or slightly more in some countries). They could race a Caparo T1 and use a Perodua Nippa as a camera car with no difference apart from not fitting the gear in.
TG may have been bad, but the new 5th gear tonight was absolute cacka. VBH was really gettin on my t1ts nevermind the ridiculous and pointless "stunt" with the jets which has been done so many times before
The real problem with Top Gear is that we all are paying for it!!!!! What a waste of money!!!!!!
Fifth Gear is crap too - but, it doesn't cost me a penny, so I can live with that!

There'll be some smart **** along in a minute saying how much the BBC makes out of the programme. Shame they can't fund a real motoring programme with that profit that doesn't pander to the Eastenders crew or some foreigner looking for a distracrtion from their airplane dinner. What's the betting that a very good portion of the money raised goes through a production company owned by Clarkson. I wonder what % tax is paid too! Money for old rope when the script is the same every week.
