the front hubs changed on the newer STi cars so AP, Alcon, etc had to modify their brackets to suit, however whilst an "old" kit doesn't fit a newer car the "new" kits will retro fit without any issues..............

Ok, so since Alcon comes with double PCD discs, they may fit to classic shape, with some mods on brackets ?

no the mods on the brackets are specifically to suit the newer STi (its a clearance issue due to the larger bearings) - the brackets retro fit to everything else perfectly just with more clearance

I'm sure the later brackets will fit the early cars , its the extra metal on the later hubs between the lugs that stops an early kit fitting a later car
