I have seen this car personally on numerous occasions, it's in excellent condition and well worth the asking price.

have you gone the ///M way yet (like myself) Steve?

Ffs, I knew putting a best offer option was a mistake. Its up for £6995, not the cheapest admittedly but do people seriously believe I'll knock 2k off straight away? I had an offer of 5k then 2 offers, 5k and 5.5k.

dont put that option then if you dont want offers?? people are making you offers like you asked for, can hardly blame them for trying their luck.

If you went to see a car advertised for 7k would you seriously offer 5? Everyone asks a little more than they want as they expect people to haggle. I put the offer option as it makes it more interesting for people. I expected sensible offers not people taking the p1ss. If they want a 5k scooby which will probably need money spending on it, then this isn't for them.

Cheers mate. The scooby guy I use for all the work on mine told me I'd get between 10 and 12k by breaking but I just don't have the space or the knowhow to do it.

People chance their arm on eBay all the time, it's the nature of the beast and its easy to do with the best offer button.

Just set it to auto decline offers of under 6.5k or whatever you'd be happy with?

I should have done that tbh but I always think auto decline limits take the fun out of it. Me thinks an edit is due

I've just never heard about this scheme before, so was a bit wary. I've spoke to others on another forum who say its quite common and they themselves have sold cars this way. No disrespect to Roman, I was just being careful after hearing so many horror stories

Selling cars on eBay is a ballache.

I would take the Make Offer option off the auction to stop the daydreamers, I would not sell that for £5k either.
