You will have to forgive me if I am wrong, but I got the impression that you were advocating that if an elderly person becomes badly ill, you feel that they should not have life extending medical attention.

Perhaps you could explain exactly how you feel about that situation.

i can clarify that i would be positive in taking action to cure the illness and extend the life, if the person so wishes, and should be entitled to the decision

what i was more meaning was the continued research and development into extending lifes, be they prostheticlics, heart pumps or even drugs that could see humans live much longer, yet still stuck in homes/wheelchairs, for the rest of there days regardless of what cutting edge techniques arrise. id prefer to see all efforts on treating any conditions to enable the person to stay active for longer befor finally succumbing to being house bound or unable to enjoy there life as had done previously.

i mean whats the ultimate goal here, humans to regularly see 100 years old? 150? 200 even? - but if that last 120 is spent not being ablwe to do what you wish, and be out doing things you wnjoy, what the point in trying to extend soo far? just becaue we can?

I can't disagree with that.
