I am guessing you bought from this seller on Ebay - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200838191821

Acording to the seller they are made from fibre reinforced plastic. Had considered one but was not sure on the quality. I think you would be best of buying a splitter made from polyurethane as it would last much longer.

Bought one off Scoobystyleuk1. Great quality fibreglass so a little stronger than the plastic I think. Came with all bolts and screws too. Just need a dry day to fit and I'll post some pics.

I would think the plastic ones will flex more where as the fibreglass ones are just going to break the first good bump they get.

As g7prs say, plastic is the best material of the 2, my friend has a fibreglass 1 on his bug and caught it on a dip in the road, I done the exact same as I was following him his cracks whereas my just just had a dent type of thing
