On the plus side even with the extra costs its still a third of the price of any other.
Just waiting for payday and i will be paying!!!
Is there anyway that you could ask them to make sure that value the parcel is low to prevent us being stung with the tax?

Cheers Jamie

As soon as white noise gets back to me i will contact them again. I think there's probably a bit of a breakdown going on with there packers.

I think for now the best bet will be to request it with everything else i've told you to do when you send the cash via payapl.

Mine was marked as a bday present and valued at £20. I didn't pay any tax. Although it did sit in customs for a good bit. Probably just because of Xmas tho

Have faith brother Having seen what happened to others I emailed them and asked them to make sure they marked the package as a gift with a value of $20 to make sure it didn't attract any further charges.......if they didn't do it I will be well pi**d off

However given my track record with luck I'll probably get charged double

Arrived today, very well packed & no customs charges. However the pod is damaged on one of the corners so I am not happy at all.

Just opened

The thing is the missing corner isn't even inside the packaging which makes me think it was missing/damaged before it was packed. I will be asking for a refund/replacement item.

Marietto - I've just seen this and i am sorry. Have they got back to you yet? If you have no luck please PM me and i'll get on to this.

Just wanted to re iterate that i got two pods from the company (One for me and one for my dad), they were both excellent. I have had no issues what so ever.

I thought SN members maybe interested so i contacted the company and gauged their interest in a group buy for you guys.

I'm not making or handling any cash, nor am i getting anything from the company. It was just an attempt to try and help members out as people and companies have been so kind to me on here.

I hope the problems you have had get resolved quickly.

If there is any future dealings/interest (Not thinking there is) please can i ask you to include in your payment details the value to be marked up correctly.

Kind regards

Mark

Mark mate, don't worry about it at all, this is absolutely no reflection on you at all and you put plenty of your own time and effort into this. These things happen.

I have had the following response from them:

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your photo and information, we are sorry to hear the item is damaged, since the item is intact before we send to you, therefore the damage is caused by the post office mishandling. therefore we need to claim the damage from the post office.
Please kindly take the damaged package to the post office to verify the damage and file a claim form in the post office. please mark in the note that the claim will be done on our side. If the post office said they cannot file the claim form, please ask them to verify the damage for the package, and we will file the claim in our side. After you have filed the report, please let us know and we can arrange to resend a new one to you free of charge.

Ken
Racing_raven customer service team

I have to say though that it is absolute rubbish that the post office caused this damage. The package was bomb-proof! It had a ton of bubble wrap & foam around it and if it had been damaged inside the package then the chunk of fibreglass broken off the corner would still be in the package. It is absolutely not and I opened it extremely carefully. It was most certainly damaged by them on packing and they didn't notice. I have emailed them back to let them know what my feelings are.

Cheers

Mario

Just for info, once I explained that the damage could not be caused by the post office Ken at Racing Raven said he would send me a brand new pod at no cost if I covered the $15 postage and I could also keep the damaged pod as a spare. Can't say fairer than that really - good outcome.

Thanks for the kind comments Marietto. I'm glad it's worked out for you.

I'm sure after a lick of paint someone will bite your hands off for it.

emmas pod turned up this week.
apart from getting stung with a £17 customs charge as she purchased through ebay for some paypal protection.

the pod was damaged but more of an issue is the quality which is dubious to say the least and the fit is rubbish.

thank god we purchased via ebay as I will be starting a dispute for a refund

That's not good to hear tubs. The guy i have been dealing with is called Kenny.

Personally i've now had 3 - two classics and 1 new age. All have been perfect with no fees. However, some people have had problems. All have contracted Kenny and been refunded or items replaced.

Sorry again

Mark

no problem, we bought via ebay to avoid issues.
the damage isn't an issue as these things happen, but the fit is pretty poor.
it looks as if it has been trimmed poorly as it doesn't fit in the hole very well.

I guess you get what you pay for.
