If you go on Thorney Motorsport they now have a big notice up saying they no longer recommend tesco and only recommend she'll because of problems...

To be fair, ALL retail petrol is a blend of poorer quality base stock components that is blended and "boosted" with higher grade naptha components; Its the refinery's goal to sell as much high value product by blending it with cracked and reformed lower grade and lower value products that would have otherwise ended up as stuff like heating oil etc.

Just had a quick look , didn't see the shell bit ,
I get the feeling it will transpire to be a sponsorship issue as opposed to a quality / technical issue
Have to see

I should have said that I regulary leave fuel in my tank for periods of time and when I come to log the ECU (which I have done a few times when the fuel has been in the tank just to see) no ignition is being pulled, so with my non technical logic, I would assume there isn't an issue.

I apologise for appearing to burst your bubble..... and of course you're a professional mapper so what do I know about these things!

My fuel strategy / use is no different now then it was 7yrs ago when I 1st bought the previous SPEC C. Never had one single problem. Sorry.

I can backup what Shaun has said. I left v power in my subaru for 6 months without being used and afterwards it ran fine. No timing pulled or any signs of det, both on the det cans and via datalogger.
