Official poll for the new Essex club name
Why?
I already let people know, just not the whole ESC area ...... as the poll had not finished and wanted to make sure we had the domains ready and waiting.
Bean, great as it is that you have gone and registered 'a' domain, I already did this on the 13th October as it was clear by the numbers which was going to be the choice. I have seen domains taken due to this kind of poll, hence me taking the initiative and getting them registered.
As some will know, it is not the first time I have registered domains off my own back to help other members out, and this was done for the whole club, and you get keyboard hero idiots airing views before knowing the score .......... Is this turning into a RS Owners club ?

When the thread was updated that someone had bought the domain, I felt that for £6 ill secure something closer which was the "essex-subaru-owners-club" domain name
I cant comment on if you had bought any domains in the past as some would say im still fairly new to the scene as welln as not being able to have met you yet mate
When i searched online, there was a small part of me that wondered if it could have been someone from here as the domain ownership is advertised on certain websites as well as the owner living in the southend area so thought someone may have bought it already as a goodwill gesture

Secondly, the poll hadn't finished, so I hadn't let on that I had registered the domains that were obviously the closest for use for 'The Club'.
I registered the domains as they don't cost the Earth (around £3.50 for .co.uk and a fiver for the .com), I also got the best 'esoc' domain available, as I feel this is better than the long winded essexsubaruownersclub and totally blanked the domain with hyphens as I think they look $hit.
So there you are ....... Doing something for the club and prats start ranting and raving !!!

I just thought that some chancer was trying to make a quick buck from the club changing there name !
And i had a suspicion that some employee from internet brands was trying to pull a fast one and cashing in on the name change
I can only apologise , if i knew it was you that had bought the names , i wouldn't have said anything , as you were taking the lead in securing the new domain name for the club

Sorry but when i read sir fozz post that the domain names had been bought , i just saw RED , Thinking WTF !!!!! i can not believe that someone would stoop this low to make a buck !!

Hah Nate, I tried to buy them on the 14th, saw you had them and left it at that. I was looking to make a front end for the club showing off some of the members cars and a decent calendar as I have a load of Web space going spare. If I do, will need you to forward to my dns, not exactly hard though.
On the rants aimed at you, to be fair, you did bait someone kicking off at you since you didn't mention you had them though! They weren't actually aimed directly at you.

We now have a club named website for the future, thanks Nate. Good to see it didn't go to the Essex Skoda Owners Club (if there is one)

As said , not to take them comments personally nate
My only intention was to weed out the person who i thought was cyber squatting on the new domain name !
I thought that whoever had done this , would be keeping a close eye on this thread , and that the only way to weed them out , was to unleash a full on torrent of abuse at the said cyber squatter , to prompt or provoke some sort of reaction from them !
This sort of abuse is hardly in my nature , i'm quite a calm and reserved sort of guy , as those that know me would probably agree
or maybe not

You shouldn't have wasted your money on buying 4 names thou !! Just the 1 would have done www.esoc.co.uk
No need really of the .com ones , i feel that you have wasted your money
