I'm not trying to belittle anyone, nor am I ranting . Hopefully the judicious use of smileys will help with that understanding

Cameron and Osbourne are very, very weak in comparison to Blair/Brown .... the history books will show how Labour generated the best 10 years the UK have ever known.
Really Pete,I find it hard to believe that as an intelligent person you can write such a load of guff about the way those plonkers ran this country!

The economy only appeared to be strong because Brown was either overborrowing and making us look well off or flogging off our gold reserves at the lowest possible price in desperation in order to keep the illusion going. The only thing that did was to keep their share of the vote up,which was the whole idea anyway.

Please tell us why the Labour secretary to the treasury left a note to the conservative chancellor telling him that there was no money left! He was not joking either!

I think the only explanation for it all is that you cannot see the wood for the trees, and that is me being generous!

Not sure what pedantic point you're proving there. And yes you cannot admit to yourself that periods of retrenchment in a Capitalist economy are unavoidable, whether following a Keynsian path or not. From here you'll just have to tell it to somebody else, like i said it becomes religious and i have scant time for that either.
Sorry to have to correct, but i think the term you are looking for is Keynesian

Sorry, I don't normally bother pulling people for typos or spelling mistakes because I have noticed that most that go down the speak and spell route on here usually are no better than those they criticise and belittle through typos or spelling mistakes.

You’re always treading dodgy ground as a spelling critique!!

You're lecturing people on spelling, and you don't know that a critic criticizes, or makes critiques?

I don't think you do either, you clearly don't understand the post. Not worth wasting your time commenting really.

The only politician I'd like to see in the chair would be Nigel Farage.

will never happen I know, but he seems an honest guy to me

I don't understand that in the sentence "You’re always treading dodgy ground as a spelling critique!!", you were passing comment on the person you were addressing at the time's merit (or lack thereof) as a judge of other people's spelling ability?

I think you'll find you're very much mistaken.

He is probably the only man who would get us out of the Eu. We desperately need to leave them for dead!

The rest of them are largely almost laughable as far as I am concerned!

I think if anyone votes for Lab or Cons in the next election, you might aswell wipe your **** with that vote. Both have had a fair crack at the whip over the years.
I've been UKIP for the last couple of years now,do we really want another labour or conservative government next time round, seriously its starting to become very boring and tiresome with these two at the top of the votes everytime. And all they do is just let the voters down, lie,**** on us,and bend over for Europe.

OH OH OH YEAAA 50 million, and worth every penny...

I am not quite sure how you 'man up' on internet forum.

Any ideas?

Also, I'd like to know why you think that public services are being run better under the Con-Dems?
Is it opinion? Or do you work in the public sector?
Genuinely interested!

I don't get the impression that they are doing any kind of "running" as you say.

I think they are just sitting back and letting the Civil Service do it all with precious little input from them!

Too easy isn't it?

I think the west coast rail fiasco is a typical example of what a great job the condems are doing of "running" things.

Oh that and the fact that under albour, the longest ou had to wait in A&E was 4 hours and the longest you had to wait for an operation was 18 weeks. (Something this shambolic bunch of clowns is currently unravelling)

Under the Tories in the 80's/90's the average was 18 hours. And somehow public services didn't improve.

Christ i can't even keep my own promises.

So Pete, three senior civil servants who have since been suspended, who don't represent any political party, making a mess of a rail tender, somehow indicates that it must be the coalition's fault. Totally and utterly their fault. It's like reading a broken record, Pete, i just wish i had the words to make you realise it, even just a little bit.

So you are suggesting, that the Coallition, have no responsibility for the foul up, despite the Transport Secretary accepting full responsiblity and apologising to Virgin.

Yes, Pete, the Secretary of State had to apologise, thems the rules. The slant you put on it is that it's a political failure. I'm losing the will to keep explaining

So the Secretary of State apologises. The mistake happened under his watch, he and Justine Greening repeatedly defended the process after calls were made for a review and then just before it goes to court he suddenly admits that its all been a massive **** up and £50 million of tax payers money has been wasted.. but in no way are the Government to blame, and its all me putting a poltical slant on it.

Okkaaaayyyy
